African Gong celebrates the Launch of the DiverSci (formerly Equity@Ecsite Network) website, uniquely packed full of inspiring, practical and transformative tools, methodologies and approaches for delivering institutional change for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Science Centres/Museums and Science Communication.

The DiverSci good practice framework will help science communication institutions work across Equity, Diversity and Inclusivity in five transversal pillars: Access, Content, Partners, Staff and Strategy. Diversci.eu supports institutions and individuals in driving such change with specific resources and a community of practice. This is a unique platform providing many resources in a single place. Each tool has been thoroughly tested and is ready to use.

DiverSci is a collective of science engagement professionals advocating to get
inclusion, equity, diversity and social justice to the top of our strategic agendas, so that we no longer fail an important part of our potential audiences and potential co-workers. This group was formalised after the Ecsite Conference in 2016 – inspired by the transformative keynote address of Dr. Elizabeth Rasekoala, President of African Gong and has received the Ecsite Collaborative Grant in 2020.

African Gong contributed to the Ecsite 2021 Annual Conference Programme with the following Sessions on Thursday the 10th June 2021:
