Dr. Rasekoala was invited by the President of the NHM in Los Angeles to deliver capacity-building and training workshop sessions to senior staff, curators, researchers and exhibit developers working at the NHM. The capacity-building sessions were particularly focussed on transformative approaches, methodologies and innovative programme conceptualisation, with the aims/objectives to advance diversity, equity and inclusion, in the NHM’s audiences, visitors, outreach, staffing, content, exhibits and new programme development and curatorship. Dr. Rasekoala also delivered a public lecture entitled, ‘Science Centres & Museums: From ‘new Temples for old Gods’ to transformational imperatives, in an Age of Structural Inequality’.
