Africa Scientifique – Aims & Objectives

  • To enable young and emerging African scientists, researchers, academics and science communicators’ to acquire specialized and general public communication of science skills, expertise and best practice knowledge, methodologies and approaches, in diverse formats and platforms.
  • To reinforce and enhance the leadership, aptitude and capabilities of young and emerging African scientists, researchers, academics and science communicators’ in addressing the challenges of engendering science culture on the African continent.
  • To enrich African-centric science culture concepts and approaches through pan-African cooperation and cultural diversity in science communication and public engagement programmes and practices across the African continent.
  • To identify international good practice trends in the field and African-based platforms that can be enabled to capitalise on these.
  • To identify African-based good practices and successful case studies in science communication, scientific outreach and PLUS and to disseminate them in the field, across the African continent and internationally.
