The 13th International Public Communication of Science and Technology – PCST 2014 Conference was held from the 5-8 May 2014, in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, with the theme ‘Science Communication for Social Inclusion and Political Engagement’.
The ‘Science & You’ Conference was held from the 3-5 June 2015, in Nancy, France, with the theme ‘Create the future’. Dr. Rasekoala attended the Conference as a Keynote Speaker and delivered a presentation entitled ‘Science Communication in a Post-2015 World: the nexus of Trans-national, Multi-disciplinary and Socio-cultural contexts’.
Dr. Rasekoala attended the Conference as a Keynote Speaker and delivered a presentation entitled ‘Innovative Narratives and Frameworks for Colourful Science Communication: The European Landscape, Globalisation and International Co-operation’.
Dr. Rasekoala has contributed an African Gong blog entitled“ISCSMD 2016: A Global Platform for Reflection, Transformation, and Mainstreaming the SDGs in Science Centres and Science Museums”
This was the second edition of the annual cycle of the Caminhos do Conhecimento/Streams of Knowledge conferences, organized in honour of Prof. José Mariano Gago, on his birthday. Other than recalling the national and international legacy of Mariano Gago, 2017’s conference also instituted the celebration of the National Scientists Day, thus designated by the Portuguese Parliament to commemorate and acknowledge the historic, pertinent and innovative role of the scientific community, for the advancement of knowledge and, therefore, for the progress and welfare of society.
